Overview
Arizona AHEC provides an annual report in November of each year to the State of Arizona. Arizona AHEC underwent a strategic visioning process in 2010-2011 and developed a strategic plan for 2011-2016 that outlines a broad educational development agenda to guide specific programs plans. AzAHEC has supported workforce studies, including AzCRH Supply and Demand Study of Arizona Health Practitioners and Professionals (February 2016), AzCRH Safety Net Health Care in Arizona Report (February 2016), The Supply of Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, and Certified Nurse Midwives in Arizona (June 2014), and the Arizona Rural Health Workforce Trend Analysis for 2007-2010 and 2002-2006.
Sally J. Reel, PhD, RN, FNP, FAAN, previous AzAHEC Director, was the principal investigator for the Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA) Nurse Education Practice Quality and Retention (NEPQR) grant, which included the Health360South project.
